Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens might still be out in cinemas, yet many people are now anticipating when they can get their hands on the Blu-ray. It appears Amazon has finally revealed a legitimate release date for it.
If you go to Amazon right now, it shows that the release date for the Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens Blu-ray is April 5th, 2016. Not only does the Blu-ray include the movie, but it also adds in deleted scenes and other bonus features never seen before.
For further proof that this is the actual release date, Furious Fanboys reports that Amazon emailed customers about the April 5th, 2016 date. The date is also the same one that featured on Blu-ray.com earlier this year which was taken down since Disney didn’t want people to know so early.
As aforementioned, the Blu-ray will come with several deleted scenes that did not make it into the final cut of the movie. We won’t be posting spoilers here, but some of the scenes that have been cut shows more character development for the supporting cast.
The Blu-ray being listed is a combo pack that also includes a DVD and digital copy of the film. There will also be a 3D Blu-ray version for those that own a 3DTV. It remains to be seen if the film will eventually be released in the 4K format.
