Rockstar announced yesterday that GTA V would indeed arrive in the “Spring of 2013”. When that means exactly, is anyone’s guess. Take Two Interactive recently released it most current financials, and they could hold the keys to narrowing down the release date for the next Grand Theft Auto.
Colin Sebastian, an analyst at Baird Equity Research believes that a shift in Take Two’s profit forecasts into the next fiscal year, leads him to believe that GTA V will arrive after March, when the current fiscal year concludes.
That would leave April and May as two remaining “Spring” months that GTA V could arrive in. Sebastian believes that the game will arrive in May however and noted his sales projections for the game, which is a lofty 20 million copies of the open-world title.
Fans waiting for GTA V news are in for a big month in November. Game Informer, will feature the game as its cover game of the December issue, which is getting ready to hit store shelves and tablets shortly. Yesterday’s announcement was a bit of a shocker for PC gamers. Rockstar made no announcements on whether or not the game would arrive on PC, and explained that it was concentrating on the console versions of the game only, for the moment.
