Rovio’s popular title, Angry Birds, finally arrives on Facebook today. Â A free version available on the social network, will allow users to snag virtual power-ups and compete in leaderboards with their friends. Â The Facebook version of the game features all of the same game play elements as the original, but with “added social components”.
Exclusive Facebook levels and power-ups seem to be the real differences here, but connecting freinds through the game is also an important element in the release.
“There are four different types of power-ups and they can be accessed via the lightning bolt button at the top of the screen,” Rovio said. “You can use two power-ups per level. All power-ups have a different effect but ultimately make you more competitive against your friends by making your birds stronger or more accurate or even by shaking the earth itself!”
Players can access the content here, but be prepared.  If you are planning on taking advantage of the new power-ups, they’ll cost you  $1 for 20 uses, aside from the freebies you get for logging in and playing.
