Bioware’s Anthem was unsurprisingly the focal point of EA’s E3 2018 Press Conference.  New details were revealed for the game, which included that the game would not feature Pay to Win mechanics or Loot Boxes.

Mark Darrah of Bioware confirmed that while there would be customization options and vanity items in Anthem, that players would always know what they are purchasing and that there would be no Loot Boxes in the game.

Darrah says that Anthem’s suits (Javelins) would be customizable in terms of their paint and that the actual geometry of the suit could be changed.  Darrah says that one of the most important things to Bioware is that that the game feels complete from the get go.

The release date for Anthem was also revealed during the stream.  Anthem will arrive on February 22nd, 2019.
