Ash of Gods is a mix of RPG and turn-based strategy game that takes inspiration in other acclaimed titles like The Banner Saga and The Darkest Dungeon. It’s a project developed by AurumDust that seeks financing through Kickstarter, where they hope to obtain $75.000.
The story is set in a world where humanity has suffered an enormeous cataclysm that put the entire civilization in danger. Not only that, but in the centuries that followed, the survivors have also received the attacks of some mysterious figures called reapers. The developers emphasize the importance of the roguelike style of the narration, with every decision, every battle, and every action resulting in a completely different adventure. Even losing your main hero will not lead to a game over screen.
The gameplay in battles hopes to present a fresh experience for the players, using cards to determine the strategy and the characters’ classes to decide the tactics. Battles will also feature a very advanced enemy AI, which will always adapt to our moves as a way to keep the game being a challenge and a rewarding experience.
AurumDust hopes to release the game on PC, iOS, Android, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox, starting in March 2018. Reaching the base stretch goal of $75.000 will make them able to release the game with the basic storyline in English and Russian. With more funds, the developers could work on more original music, additional storylines and new languages including German, French, and Spanish, among others. With 29 days still to go, they have already received $13.500.
