The Assassin’s Creed series will be taking a plunge into mobile-only territory with the release of Assassin’s Creed Identity, Ubisoft has revealed. The Action-RPG will be coming to iOS on February 25 and will cost $5, though a potential release for Android was not revealed.
The game is set during the Italian Renaissance and gives the player the choice to customize their own characters from a pool of classes. The four classes are Berserker (combat-oriented), Shadow Blade (stealth-oriented), Trickster (variety-oriented) and Thief (agility-oriented).
A trailer was also released that mixes live action and CG, showing a person walking around in real life while his world sporadically transforms into that of the Assassin’s Creed setting. You can check out the trailer for Assassin’s Creed Identity at the bottom of this post.
Here’s the blurb given from the trailer’s description: “ASSASSIN’S CREED IDENTITY is the first Assassin’s Creed Action-RPG game for mobile devices that lets you create, evolve and customize your own Assassins and play them in the iconic Renaissance Italy setting. Embody an Assassin and experience the freedom of movement that made the franchise unique while unraveling the mystery of The Crows and solving dozens of quests.”
