Battlefield 3: Back to Karkand has gone live on the PlayStation Network and is available for download.  The rather robust expansion comes in over 1GB, so be prepared to have a small wait for the new content.  The map pack is free for those that purchased the Limited Edition of Battlefield 3 or pre-ordered your copy of the game.  For those that didn’t, you’ll need to fork over $14.99 for the fan favorite maps from previous Battlefield games, new weapons, and other Battlefield goodness.

As the update began rolling out throughout the day, some players have seen issues when trying to use the server browser feature to play the maps.  EA has noted that players should use the Quick Match filter setting to access the Back to Karkand maps, as the server browser function is only matching core maps.

EA said they are looking for  fix for this launch bug and should be fixed in the near future.
