Announced during the Google Stadia Connect stream, the long awaited RPG series has finally come back to us. Baldurs Gate III has been unveiled after being slightly leaked earlier last week, and is being developed by Larian Studios who are most well known for creating the Divinity Original Sin series. According to the developer, it will be their biggest project ever.

The trailer showcases a city in ruins, as a lone soldier walks among his dead comrades before turning into a Cthulu like monster and levitating into the air. The game will retain the D&D mechanics the series is known for, and will continue the story in the Forgotten Realms where the second installment left off. It may not sound like much, but this reveal is the spark that long time fans of the series have been waiting for. It’s also important to note that the game will also be releasing normally on PC’s and will not be exclusive to just the Google Stadia.

No release date was given but announcement, along with the trailer has undoubtedly created a stir in the gaming community. Hopefully we get more information as we spearhead our way into E3 next week, but the reveals and updates will continue through the week so say tuned for more news.

Baldurs Gate III  will launch for the Google Stadia and PC. You can check out the reveal trailer here:
