Bandai Namco has announced a new Tales game called “Tales of Berseria”.

As reported by Siliconera, Tales of Berseria was announced in Japan’s Tales of Festival event.

Tales of Berseria has been announced to be available for the PS3 and PS4. It features a female main character by the name of Velvet. She will be voiced by Rina Satou and the character was designed by Mutsumi Inomata.

Looking at the character of Velvet in Tales of Berseria, she has black hair and looks like Milla from Tales of Xillia. Only a description of her appearance has been reported. Sadly, no character artwork has been posted online yet.

The announcement for Tales of Berseria has sparked interest from people commenting over at NeoGAF. A lot of people are happy they are getting a JRPG for the PS4. They are kind of glad that Bandai Namco didn’t announce a mobile game like some other Japanese developers have done lately.

Some people are a little surprised Tales of Berseria is available for both PS3 and PS4. People had hoped it would take full advantage of the PS4 if it were an exclusive. Although in Japan, more people still own a PS3 so making it cross-platform made sense from a business standpoint.
