After a sudden delay close to the game’s release, Batman: Return to Arkham went from a mid-2016 release to potentially not even making a 2016 release at all. While it was initially chalked up to the developer needing more time to polish the game, the sudden delay and complete lack of a new release date was troubling.
However, today we now know that the game has a new release date thanks to a graphics comparison video that compares the old and new versions of the games. At the end of the video it claims that the game will launch on October 18th in the USA and October 21st in the UK. You can check out the comparison video at the bottom of this post.
This new collection of Rocksteady Games’ Arkham series remasters Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City, providing enhanced visuals and all of the previously-released DLC. It does not include Batman: Arkham Origins, which was developed by WB Games Montreal.
Return to Arkham won’t be the only Batman experience that will be launching in October, as there will also be Batman: Arkham VR that will launch for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR. That game has you controlling Batman and all of his gadgets to stop a plot that threatens the lives of his closest allies.
