WB Games just announced the long anticipated HD re-released of two of last generation’s greatest titles with Batman: Return to Arkham. This HD remaster brings together Batman: Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, along with all of their released DLC. The game is set to hit PS4 and Xbox One on July 26th.

“Return to two of the greatest superhero games of all time – visually enhanced and recreated for a new generation in Batman: Return to Arkham,” reads the description on the YouTube page. The remastering is going deep into the games themselves, not just up-rezzing them, but actually porting them to Unreal Engine 4, according to Warner Brothers.

Batman: Return to Arkham had been long rumored to exist, thanks to multiple leaks, however we didn’t have official confirmation until today. None of the rumors pegged the release date correctly though, with some putting it even earlier than its final July release date. Along with the announcement came a new trailer, showing off the remastered versions of these two classic titles.

Are you excited for another HD remaster, or has the fad worn off for you? Which game are you more excited to revisit: Arkham Asylum, or Arkham City? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
