Michael Shannon (General Zod) has backtracked his statements of appearing in Batman vs Superman with flippers in a new interview.

Shannon was interviewed by The Daily Beast and he claims the story of him wearing flippers was just “ludicrous b^^sh*t” he made up. He went on to say the story went viral, but people shouldn’t have taken his statements seriously.

He then hinted that Zod could be appearing in Batman vs Superman as a ghost. He referred back to Jor-El (Russell Crowe) and his character appearing as a mentor in Man of Steel even after death. He said he did some voice over work for the film too.

The most interesting comments he made from the interview was referring about Doomsday making an appearance in a future film. He said maybe in another movie, we may see Dommsday wearing flipper hands. Shannon then praised Zack Snyder as a director and said he’s like to work with him again.

Anyway, Shannon’s comments sounds like he’s trying to hide his real involvement in Batman vs Superman. We all saw him clearly in the Comic-Con trailer. He must have a bigger role in Dawn of Justice, but isn’t willing to announce anything officially.

At this rate, it looks like there is a good chance Doomsday is in the film and Michael Shannon did the motion capture work for him. We’ll have to wait and see if Warner Bros. is willing to reveal it. It’s highly unlikely Lex Luthor is the only villain in the movie.
