The Tokyo Games Show has concluded and with it the annual awards that are bestowed upon the exhibitors. Japan Game Award Committee has cast their ballots and named DICE’s upcoming shooter the best of the show for 2011. EA claims the award to be a “major honor”, when you take into consideration that no other western developed title has recieved the top honors in Japan in over two years.
It’s been a busy convention season for DICE and EA. Battlefield 3 took home top multiplayer honors at this year’s E3 after putting PC gameplay on display and dropping 1000’s of jaws in the process. Shortly thereafter, DICE took home top honors at Gamescom, with their amazing Caspian Border showcase and Co-op gameplay.
To say that DICE has had a successful convention season is an understatement. Battlefield 3 hits storeshelves on October 25th, with an upcoming Battlefield 3 beta due in short order.
