The Battlefield series is set to be getting a completely new UI soon, with developer DICE sending out emails to fans letting them know that it is currently in the works. However, while some would think that it would be making its debut in the upcoming Battlefield 1, that will not be the case at all.
This new UI will supposedly improve the social aspect of the Battlefield experience, enhancing the process of players partying up and looking for games together. However, the new UI will be making its debut in Battlefield 4 first, which will then be followed by Battlefield 1 and then Battlefield Hardline somewhere down the line.
Unfortunately, the email that has been going around does not make any mention of a release date for this new UI. However, considering that Battlefield 1 comes out in October it’s very possible that this new UI could be hitting Battlefield 4 as early as next month. The email also completely disregards the PC version of the game, which is strange but could just end up being an oversight.
Battlefield 1 is set to launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on October 21st.
