The Game Awards has always prided itself for featuring some big announcements, and Nintendo seems to have went all out this year. First they surprised everyone by revealing that the highly anticipated DLC for Zelda: Breath of the Wild would release tonight. Then they blew fans away by announcing that the cult hits Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 would be coming to Nintendo Switch on February 16th, 2018.
The games will be bundled once again, with purchases of the second title offering free downloads of the first. The game’s mere existence was a surprise, so the release date being just a couple of months away was the icing on the cake. Fans of the series will surely enjoy getting to play through these action masterpieces once again, and this time they can take them on the go with the Switch in handheld mode.
But that wasn’t all that Nintendo and Platinum Games had in store for Bayonetta fans. A full blown sequel was announced exclusively for Nintendo Switch as well.
