Benicio del Toro is one of the new faces that will be in Star Wars: Episode 8. He briefly talked about getting cast in the upcoming new movie as well as his favorite films from the franchise.
Benicio del Toro was interviewed by the Toronto Sun where he gave an interesting opinion on being a part of Star Wars: Episode 8. Even a veteran actor like himself still feels overwhelmed about Star Wars.
He said: “It’s scary because there’s a lot of talk that I’m going to be in that movie — before I’ve even shot one scene! But I’m excited, too.”
He also gave his opinion on the other Star Wars movies. Like most people, he is mostly a fan of the original trilogy plus The Force Awakens.
“I really enjoyed Episode VII. And I’ve enjoyed Star Wars, especially the first one — I think it’s called Episode IV now. And Return of the Jedi, and The Empire Strikes Back — I’m not a Star Wars buff like some out there, but as a kid I really liked those films, like, way before I ever thought I was going to be in movies. There’s something of a nostalgia thing that gets you excited about being part of the Star Wars world.”
As you can see from his comments above, he didn’t mention anything about the Star Wars prequels. A sizeable number of people want to forget that the prequels were ever made…
