Bioware, the development studio behind the three Mass Effect games of the previous console generation, may be planning to remaster the trilogy for the PS4 and Xbox One.

As reported by IGN, Aaryn Flynn, Bioware’s Edmonton and Montreal studios general manager, stated on Twitter that the developer has “discussed (the possibility) internally.”

While a remaster of the trilogy for new hardware would most likely be welcome by fans and those who have yet to experience the Mass Effect saga, there are no plans and nothing is confirmed. Presently, Bioware is in the process of developing the Dragon Age sequel, Inquisition, set for a 2014 release, as well as a fourth Mass Effect.
