Developer Three Fields Entertainment is composed of developers from the Burnout franchise, and now they’re aiming to bring some of that series’ chaos back. Their new game is called Danger Zone, and it’s a vehicular destruction game that is set to debut this May.

The game takes place in a crash testing facility, with the object being to cause as much mayhem as you possibly can. Danger Zone’s official description says you’ll “Shunt vehicles into oncoming traffic, take down trailers to shed their payloads and use your explosive SmashBreaker to move your vehicle around. The more explosions you cause, the bigger your score. If you’re feeling burnt out by congestion and jammed roads, take your revenge on rush hour traffic. This place is a paradise for those who like their driving flame-grilled.”

As for the amount of content that the game will offer, it will be a single player experience with 20 crash testing scenarios for players to take on. Accompanying the single player will be online leaderboard support, allowing players to compare and compete with the scores of other players around the world. It doesn’t sound like a lot of content on the surface, but the game seems to be reasonably priced at $12.99.

For those who don’t know, Three Fields Entertainment made their debut with a game called Dangerous Golf last year. This was essentially a miniature golf game with a destructive twist, as players aimed to destroy as many things as possible within confined spaces like kitchens or living rooms. However, the game was not received well when it launched, with shallow gameplay and poor controls being the main complaints.

Danger Zone will launch for PlayStation 4 and PC next month, though an official release date has not yet been announced. You can get more information on the game through the developer’s site right here.
