Call of Duty: Ghosts Double XP Live Across All Platforms

It’s another weekend and like many weekends before it, it is time for a double XP weekend in the world’s favorite FPS. Yes, I am talking about Call Of Duty: Ghosts.

Infinity Ward announced on their Twitter feed that this weekend will play host to a double XP weekend across all platforms. Playstation 4, Playstation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. All to build-up to the July 3rd release of the Invasion map pack for Playstation platforms and PC. Now is a good time to brush up on the older maps if you haven’t played in a while and get ready for the upcoming DLC.

The third map pack, Invasion includes four multiplayer maps; Departed, Pharaoh, Mutiny and Favela as well as the third entry in the Extinction episodic narrative titled ‘Awakening’. Favela is a remake of the ‘fan favorite’ Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 map of the same name. It launched on Xbox One and Xbox 360 on June 3.  You can check out a video preview of the maps here. If you already have picked up the season pass, you can download the maps when they become available. If not you will be dishing out $14.99 for the maps when they release next week.

Double XP weekend usually lasts until around Monday at 12pm PST but sometimes it goes on longer depending on how many people are on the servers. So good luck and earn those Prestige’s!
