With a world wide reveal for Call of Duty WW2 imminent, marketing materials have apparently started to hit retailers readying for pre-orders of the game. Some of which Charlie Intel has gotten their hands on that give us some new information about the next COD game in regards to its release date and private beta.
According to the marketing materials, Call of Duty World War 2 will release on November 3rd, 2017. Ahead of that though, a private beta will be conducted for those that pre-order the game. Further details include complete descriptions of the game, the campaign, multiplayer, and cooperative mode.
The flyer mentions landing in Normandy on D-day, and battling across iconic locations across Europe. As far as the Call of Duty series has come in terms of visuals over the last decade, and the highly cinematic nature of the games should lend to this being another great Call of Duty single player campaign in the World War 2 setting.
Multiplayer has been confirmed in the material to be “grounded, fast-paced combat.” But it also teases that there will be new social elements for Call of Duty: World War 2.
Lastly, the flyer mentions a cooperative mode. Whether that will be in the form of zombies, spec-ops, co-op campaign, or something else that we’ve yet to see in the series has yet to be revealed.
No dates have been given for the private beta, it’s unclear if it will happen earlier in the year, more towards release, or if they will conduct both open and closed betas for the game. Next week’s reveal should open the gates for pre-orders and we’ll likely get more details about this.
Call of Duty: World War 2 will be revealed next week during a livestream on April 26th. If you can’t wait for that, the first images for Call of Duty WW2 popped up on the web last night.
