Recommended Videos

Call of Duty Mobile is currently at an all-time high riding into Season 9. With the close of Season 8 insight, Season 9 is set to introduce a ton of new content, such as new maps, new modes, new guns, new cosmetics, and more. And, with the spooky season right on our doorstep, COD Mobile will feature a new Halloween Event, too.

For those who haven’t heard of Call of Duty Mobile (or have cast it aside because it is a mobile fps), it is an adept free-to-play shooter developed by TiMi Studio Group and published by Activision. COD Mobile features dozens of classic game types including Team Deathmatch, Search and Destroy, Domination, Gunfight, and more along with a Battle Royal and Zombies mode.

Season 9 Updates

Season 9, based on the Battle Pass countdown, will begin on October 20 at 00:00 UTC. Although confirmed information for Season 9 is sparse, leaks are aplenty. According to @CODM_Updates on Twitter, the new season could include two new guns: The Swordfish Assault Rifle from Black Ops 2 and the Thumper Grenade Launcher from Modern Warfare 2. With new game modes, events, and challenges bound to roll out throughout the season, stay tuned for more information.

Halloween Event Updates

One of the most exciting times of the year for live games is Halloween. The new themed Halloween Event this year will be called “Trick or Treat.” In this event, players will be able to visit their friends and request Candy, the time-exclusive in-game currency. The real trick, however, is that when friends come to your house, you can decide whether to treat them with Candy or not. Candy will be used to purchase limited-time special cosmetics, though it isn’t clear what those are yet. Along with the “Trick or Treat”-ing, players can expect new festive game modes and map remodels based on dark, eerie, and sinister Halloween themes.

Last year’s Halloween Event saw a Battle Royal Featured Event called Undead Fog, a themed map called Halloween Standoff, and a reworked Kill Confirmed game mode called Pumpkin Confirmed. All of these exciting changes and more are bound to be starred in the 2021 Halloween Event. COD Mobile’s Halloween Event can be expected to start on October 29 and end after Halloween night.

Call of Duty Mobile is available on Android and iOS.
