One of the most anticipated games of this year, Call of Duty Modern Warfare is set to release on October 25 to a ridiculous amount of fanfare, and Activision knows this all too well. Earlier today, they attempted to satiate the fans with a taste of some multiplayer, showing off their new 2v2 mode called Gunfighter. But this is just be the tip of the iceberg, as the company announced later that the full global premiere of the online multiplayer will be shown on August 1.
The company also made a statement on their announcement via this post: “We are thrilled to announce a comprehensive, epic, and suitably bombastic Call of Duty: Modern Warfaremultiplayer reveal coming to the community on Thursday, August 1! Activision and Infinity Ward will reveal the multiplayer universe of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare with a deep look at gameplay coming to fans at launch.”
While the and storylines of each Call of Duty game have changed over the years, the franchise has always delivered with their online multiplayer modes. This is due to the fact that they are so addictive, all the way down to the point of just taking someone out in match. The aspects have evolved, and flat out changed over time, but no matter what happens, when a Call of Duty title launches, people will always rush online to do battle with each other that very day.
We’re already pretty excited over this game thanks to the initial batch of information when it was announced, especially about the game having no Season Pass and more post launch content. The multiplayer premiere will take place on Thursday, August 1st at 10:00 am PST. Call of Duty Modern Warfare launches on October 25 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
