Monster Hunter: World took E3 2017 by storm, marking one of the biggest announcements of the whole show. Since then we’ve gotten a trickle of new info about the upcoming game. Today sees the biggest release in a while with a brand new trailer with the best look yet at this brand new game. Along with this we got the final release date for Monster Hunter: World – January 26th, 2018.
The trailer was released during Sony’s Tokyo Game Show conference, though the game will also be released on Xbox One as well. A PC release is also coming, but it will arrive at a later date. This marks a big departure from recent entries in the series, which have mostly stuck to portable platforms, such as the 3DS. There was one game on Wii U though, which was highly praised. The shift to PS4, Xbox One, and PC seems to offer the ability to craft a larger and more visually robust world than before.
Along with the standard release, there will also be a Collector’s Edition, which was shown off during the conference. This Monster Hunter: World Collector’s Edition will come with the game’s soundtrack, an art box, and a figure of a brand new monster featured in the game.
