Square Enix has revealed that their upcoming RPG inspired by the classic Chrono Trigger, called I Am Setsuna, will arrive this Summer. It will launch for PlayStation 4 and PC on July 19th.

Square Enix said the following regarding the game’s story:

“I Am Setsuna tells the sorrowful story of Setsuna, a young woman of incredible inner strength, and the sacrifice she must undertake to the save the people of her land. Players will be immersed in an emotional and unforgettable story of true bravery as Setsuna leaves her hometown with her bodyguards on a journey to the farthest land.”

Despite the being called I Am Setsuna, the main playable character is a mercenary named Endir. The trailer definitely plays on the nostalgia that a lot of us feel for RPGs from the 90’s, so hopefully this game is able to deliver on the promise of bringing back the glory days.
