A new Civilization game is on the way from 2K and Firaxis Games. Sid Meier’s Civilization: Beyond Earth is said to build on the traditional roots of the series while pushing players in new directions, exploring an unknown future on an alien planet.

After global events have destabilized the world leading to a collapse of modern society, the human race must struggle to recover. To begin anew, mankind focuses on deep space travel. Players will explore and colonize an alien planet, research new technologies, amass mighty armies, build incredible Wonders and shape the face of your new world.

Sid Meier’s Civilization: Beyond Earth will be available for Windows PC, Mac and Linux in North America this fall for $49.99.
