Apparently fans just couldn’t get enough of the COD: Black Ops 3 beta as Treyarch has just announced that they will be extending it for one day on PS4. Originally slated to end on Sunday, August 23rd, the Black Ops 3 beta will now go until Monday at 10pm Pacific Time. This gives players an entire extra day to try out the game and give Treyarch important feedback.
“For those that have been asking,” reads the announcement, “we agree…let’s keep the PS4 #BO3Beta rolling. We’ll end it Monday at 10pm/PST. Let’s go!!!” The reaction has, of course, been largely positive, with fans excited to get some more free time in with the game. However, many are wondering if those on Xbox One will receive the same courtesy.
Currently the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 beta is only available on PS4, with Xbox One and PC looking to get their time with the game on August 26th. That beta is set to end on August 30th, only a few days later. This means those gamers will have much less time already than their PS4 counterparts, so without an extension they might be a bit upset.
Call of Duty is now pushing the PS4 as the lead platform though, launching DLC first on the Sony owned system, so this isn’t too surprising. We’re likely to see more of this favoritism going forward.
