The combat system in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has now been explained in a little more detail.

French publication, Jeux Video, had an extensive preview of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Z-Giochi got a hold of the magazine and reported on what Jeux Video had to say about the combat system used in the game.

The magazine had some mixed feelings about the combat in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. They described the combat as being more impressive than in the Assassin’s Creed games, however mentioned it isn’t as fluid as the Batman Arkham games.

When further describing the combat in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in more detail, it was also of a mixed reaction. They liked the sword movement, magic and long ranged weapons in the game. However, they noted dodging didn’t feel satisfying and counter attacking was hard to sometimes pull off.

Bear in mind this is just one publication’s opinion on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt based off of a preview. The full game isn’t out until May 19th, 2015. The preview they played also crashed a lot of times. They mentioned this is a reason the developer delayed the game’s release so that they could iron out all of the bugs. This was obviously a smart move.
