After months of speculation it looks like the good folks at Crytek have decided to implement 3-D support in the upcoming Crysis 2. The twenty five people who actually own a 3-D monitor or early adopter of the 3D televisions will be thanking their lucky stars.

To be honest, it has been a real challenge. Not with implementing 3d but with the optimization for the computers. It will be resource hungry, but with few patches and a dedicated team, I am sure we will provide a stable experience. – Crytek

No confirmation has been made if this will carry on to the console versions of the game on PS3 and Xbox 360.  Crysis 2 is scheduled for release in November 2010.
