Idea Factory International has revealed the release date for Cyberdimension Neptunia: 4 Goddesses Online in North America and Europe in digital and physical formats. The latest game from the famous JRPG series will launch on October 10 in North America and October 13 in Europe for PS4. While the PC release via Steam was expected to be simultaneous, the company has sadly delayed this version in order to “to ensure a smooth gameplay experience,” placing its release for early 2018 instead.
4 Goddesses Online exchanges the traditional turn-based battles of the series for a hack ‘n’ slash gameplay style. The story involves the four protagonists playing a MMO-style of videogame inspired by themselves, although introducing many variations from their real story. Inside the game they will face the rivalry of other beta testers and the numerous glitches that will make things very difficult for them.
Additionally, this new entry will keep a strong focus on customizing the appearance of the goddesses, with lots of accessories that can be resized, rotated, and placed anywhere. It will also introduce the option to play cooperative with other three real players online, and the possibility to link multiple actions to each button, making battles more thrilling than ever.
