Cyberpunk 2077 “More Ambitious On Every Single Front” Than The Witcher 3

While CD Projekt RED hasn’t quite wrapped up their work on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt just yet, they do have that game’s successor, Cyberpunk 2077, in the works. While they’ve talked about that game’s ambitious nature previously, they have now reiterated those claims and even increased them.

In a new interview with GI.biz, CD Projekt RED CEO Marcin Iwinski said that Cyberpunk 2077 will be “more ambitious on every single front, in the development and on the marketing side.” Considering how ambitious The Witcher 3 already is, the developer’s next game is aiming for something astronomical.

The developer goes on to discuss their formula for making games, electing to focus on one thing at a time rather than having several projects running at once. He said “Don’t think about scale in terms of us doing 20 projects; no, we’ll focus, we’ll focus on certain things… We don’t want to be a 10 project studio. The Rockstar model is nice.”

Cyberpunk 2077 is still in the early stages of development, so a release is likely quite a ways off. You can check out the full GI.biz interview by clicking right here.
