Dark Souls III is seemingly receiving two special editions, the Collectors and Prestige Edition. An eagle-eyed NeoGAF member, Alcoholikaust, spotted the listing of both editions on online retailer Geekay Games, who deal primarily in the Middle East.
The Collectors Edition is priced at 500 aed, which translates to circa $136, and comes with a 25cm Red Knight figurine, three iron-on patches, an A4 hardcover artbook, steelcase, cloth map, collector’s box, soundtrack and of course, the game itself.
The Prestige Edition comes with all of the aforementioned goodies, except that the figurine is a mammoth sized model of the Lord of Cinder, measuring at 40cm tall. This costs 1800 aed, or $490. Yeah, you read that correctly. Needless to say, prices are often adjusted from region to region, and, given that $490 is considerably more expensive than either a PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, it’s safe to assume that the price will be considerably less. As of this moment, both editions and their prices are yet to be confirmed by FromSoftware and Bandai Namco.
Dark Souls III will mark the fourth Souls game in seven years when it launches on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in March 2016 in Japan, and April 2016 for Europe, the UK and North America.
