Darkest Dungeon came out of early access and launched on the PC early this year, though the announced PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita versions have just received a delay. However, this delay isn’t solely to add in further polish to the game, but to also add in new content.
The additional content that the PlayStation versions will be getting are Town Events, which are set to add a bit more variety to the game. Apparently, upon returning from an adventure there is a possibility that an event will happen in the Hamlet.
What these events essentially boil down to are brief scenes that are relative to a recent event in the game, such as a quest completion. Town celebrations could be the result of such an occurrence, which could then bring perks like free treatments for the week.
Despite the PC version of the game getting Town Events by the end of next month, the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita versions of the game will now launch by August. You can check out our review of the PC version by clicking right here.
