Fans of the original Darksiders are in for some good news, as the developer has revealed that the 2010 cult classic will be making a comeback in the form of Darksiders: Warmastered Edition. This is a complete remaster of the original game that will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U and PC, though a release date has not yet been revealed.
As for how the game will run, it will run at 1080p across all platforms and 60fps on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, though the Wii U version will run at 30fps. Other things like texture improvements, lighting enhancements and other minor boosts will be added in to make the game better than ever before.
When Darksiders first launched it came with the subtitle of Wrath of War, with the game drawing a lot of inspiration from games like The Legend of Zelda and Devil May Cry. The game had you taking control of one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse, and was very well received upon release.
That game was then followed by Darksiders 2 a couple of years later, which was seen as an improvement on the first game in many ways. The sequel got the remaster treatment last year on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC via a “Deathinitive Edition.”
