DC Universe Online Gets News Servers, More Coming

It's no secret that DC Universe Online has been largely successful since it's recent launch. Millions of fans have been hammering the servers and as a result Sony has opened an additional four new servers for the game.

It’s no secret that DC Universe Online has been largely successful since it’s recent launch on the PlayStation 3.  Millions of fans have been hammering the PSN servers and as a result Sony has opened an additional four new servers for the game.  

Two for the United States, and two for the United Kingdom and the company is prepared to open more as the game’s popularity increases with each day.

John Smedley announced the news via twitter, and it all but confirms DCUO’s successful launch.  Something that many MMO’s have trouble achieving is this initial popularity surge.  

Be it that it’s one of the first true MMO’s to come to the PlayStation 3 or any console for that matter, or that the first month is given away as a freebie, time will tell if DCUO will have lasting success but it’s launch has been relatively trouble free and enjoyable by most accounts.
