Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 Has A Release Date For Japan

Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 has a release date in Japan and it’s coming out earlier than expected.

As reported by Famitsu, the release date for the new game will be February 25th, 2016 over in Japan. Team Ninja is still thinking about whether or not to release the game outside of Asia though.

As for the cover girls for Dead or Alive Xtreme 3, it will be both Marie Rose and Honoka taking center stage. These two girls were the top most requested to be featured in the game. Both of them will have get the most promotional material.

This is interesting because Kasumi and Ayane used to be the popular two characters from the Dead or Alive franchise. Times have changed and Japanese gamers prefer some newer characters instead.

As for playable characters, Team Ninja narrowed it down to only nine characters based on fan votes. The characters include: Marie Rose, Honoka, Kasumi, Ayane, Kokoro, Nyotengu, Hitomi, Momiji and Helena Douglas.

Sadly DOA originals like Tina Armstrong and Lei Fang missed out. Zack will be in the game since they will be in his tropical island, although he’s not playable. It’s possible the other characters might get a cameo hopefully.
