The Australian Classification Board has now rated both Dead Rising 4 and Titanfall 2 on its official website. The former is more violent than the latter.
Dead Rising 4 has received the maximum R18+ rating in Australia. If this was a few years ago, the game could have been banned as the previous maximum rating for video games was MA15+ before it was changed.
The consumer advice says: “High impact violence, blood and gore, online interactivity”. It has a moderate impact on themes, drug use and sex. It has no nudity whatsoever.
The two aspects that make the game get the R18+ rating is the high impact on violence and strong impact on language. Frank West is going to kill a lot of zombies while uttering a lot of swear words.
The other game that got rated recently was Titanfall 2. The game received the MA15+ rating. This is the same rating that the first game received two years ago.
The consumer advice for Titanfall 2 says: “Strong battle violence, online interactivity”. It has a strong impact of violence and moderate impact on themes. It only has a mild impact on both language and drug use. The game features no references of nudity or sex.
Dead Rising 4 releases on December 6th, 2016 while Titanfall 2 is out earlier on October 28th, 2016.
