As promised in the previously issued teaser trailer, we just got the full Destiny 2 reveal trailer from Bungie. Showing much more of the story for this upcoming sequel, the new video once again focuses on Nathan Fillion’s character of Cayde-6. Explaining the attack on the Last City that seems to spur the storyline in this new sequel, the trailer might be a little spoilery, but not anything beyond that basic description, which will surely be shown at E3 and tons of other events before the final Destiny 2 release date, which was also revealed during the trailer.

September 8th, that is when players will finally be able to pick up Destiny 2. This release date had been rumored for some time, with multiple leaks hinting at the date. It makes a ton of sense, and is little surprise to those who have taken to speculating about when Destiny 2 will arrive. It fits with typical release calendars, though it is a Friday so it goes outside the usual US release day of Tuesday. But being just one day before the three year anniversary of the original release of Destiny is a nice bit of work.

Another bit of important news released today was confirmation of what many had hoped for some time. Destiny 2 is coming to PC, with preorders already available right here. You can’t yet buy the game on PC, but the option is there, so this is as good as anything to say the game is finally coming to PC. Will Activision and Bungie work to get the first game out on PC as well? We’ll have to wait and see.

Destiny 2 is still shrouded in mystery, with Bungie revealing very little about the game. We still know very little about what has changed in a gameplay sense. Bungie has promised a gameplay reveal on May 18th, so watch for that. The story seems bigger and more engaging, but we’ll have to wait until Destiny 2 hits PS4, Xbox One, and PC on September 8th to find out.
