Xbox uploaded a new interview where they had a chance to talk to one of the developers and the main star for Quantum Break.

Xbox caught up with Sam Lake who is the creative director for the game, and Shawn Ashmore who plays the main character. The interview took place earlier this week at Gamescom 2015.

The first question was directed at Lake and he explained how Remedy managed to assemble such an impressive cast for the game. Apart from Ashmore, other famous names include: Dominic Mohaghan, Patrick Heusinger, Aidan Gillen, Courtney Hope and Lance Reddick.

Lake said it was a “dream come true” to have been able to get all of these actors on board for Quantum Break. He cannot believe he was able to pull that off.

Major Nelson then asked Lake on the type of gameplay that this game has. Lake said it’s a game that is just like any other Remedy has made before which is a title that’s story driven and cinematic. The player can freeze time and more powers will be unlocked as you progress further into the game.

Ashmore then explained more about the character he is playing in Quantum Break. He plays a character named Jack Joyce who has been affected by time powers. He describes the character as not a typical superhero as he’s still a “normal” person.

Ashmore also said working on the game is not too dissimilar to working on a movie or TV show. However, his biggest challenge working on the game was doing the mo-cap for the first time in his career.

Quantum Break releases April 5th, 2016 exclusively for the Xbox One.
