The latest salvo in the next-gen console wars has come from former People Can Fly developer Adrian Chmielarz who claimed on Twitter that the PS4 has a significant advantage of a 50% speed difference over Microsoft’s Xbox One console.
I know that pure hardware specs are not the whole story, but man, all next-gen AAA devs I talk to say it's 50% speed difference…

Chmielarz later took to the Neogaf forums to explain his position in more detail.
According to Chmielarz, he was specifically to referring to power of the PS4 at the time of software development today rather than as a solid performance difference between retail software on next-generation consoles.
Multiplatform Games to Remain Equal
Chmielarz explained that games will be subject to platform specific optimizations just as they always have and feature parity on cross-platform releases should always be expected because having one platform significantly superior to the other will only end up damaging a game’s reception.
Grand statements aside, all we can do is wait until the consoles are in our hands to see how multiplatform software really compares once it is released into the wild this November.
