DICE has confirmed that Battlefield 4 will not feature a cooperative campaign.  Today on Twitter, the official Battlefield account confirmed the news by explicitly stating that co-op will not return to the franchise.  After a fan tweeted at the account that they had high hopes for a new cooperative experience in Battlefield 4, the @Battlefield account replied:

Unfortunately, there will be no co-op game mode in Battlefield 4

“Unfortunately, there will be no co-op game mode in Battlefield 4”.

DICE’s incorporation of a seperate cooperative mode in Battlefield 3 was a nice inclusion for fans.  The mode gave players the opportunities to earn weapons for the game’s competitive multiplayer modes, but didn’t resonate well with critics.

DICE has already come out and proclaimed their intention to make the Battlefield 4 single player experience the best one yet.  It appears that the developer will be utilizing more resources for the single player, instead of including a cooperative mode.
