Demand for the Tom Clancy’s The Division Closed Beta apparently exceeding Ubisoft’s expectations as they have announced that many might be barred from entry to the demo. This includes those who were previously guaranteed access, such as gamers who preordered the game.
If you have already received your beta key then you should be fine, but if you haven’t you might have to wait, with a small chance that you won’t receive one at all. Keys are being sent out to all those eligible, with a new batch of keys set to go out tomorrow, but Ubisoft has said that they can no longer guarantee that all will receive their key and be able to join the game.
Players who joined the waitlist to get into the Tom Clancy’s The Division Closed Beta are still in the running to receive a key, but Ubisoft isn’t promising that all those on the list will get in before the beta ends on Monday. They have also said that space will be extremely limited due to the high demand, causing delays in keys and pushing some players into ineligibility.
Unfortunately this is the only currently scheduled beta or demo for The Division. Those who miss out on the closed beta will have to wait until the full game releases for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on March 8th, 2016.
