Dragon Ball Xenoverse Leads Bandai Namco’s Sales

Bandai Namco has announced its latest financial report and Dragon Ball Xenoverse leads the company’s game sales.

Even though Dragon Ball Xenoverse was out in February 2015, it was Bandai Namco’s best selling game over the past financial year ended March 31st, 2015. As of March 31st, 2015, the game sold a respectable 2.06 million units.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse sold more units than other games that were published by Bandai Namco. Naruto Shippuden Ultimate: Ninja Storm Revolution sold just over 1 million units. One Piece: Unlimited World Red sold over 650,000 units. Lastly, Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment sold over 570,000 units.

These are just sales of the main four games in Bandai Namco’s library. It also sells toys, digital card games and arcade machines among other things. Either way, Dragon Ball Xenoverse was the best selling video game for the company over the past financial year.

It will be interesting to see if Dragon Ball Xenoverse’s successor will sell even more copies. Dragon Ball Z has had a surge in popularity in recent years thanks to the new animated movies we’ve been getting. The new Dragon Ball Super TV series is also going to help bring DBZ fever back.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse also was released on more platforms coming out for the PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360.
