Dynasty Warriors 9 Launching in February in North America and Europe

Koei Tecmo has announced the release date of Dynasty Warriors 9 in North America and Europe. The game will be released on February 13th for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, with pre-orders from retailers and digital outlets giving access to a series of special costumes inspired on “traditional Chinese undergarments” for Guan Yinping, Diaochan, Sun Shangxiang, Lu Lingqi, Wang Yi and Wang Yuanji, and a beautiful Beijing opera-style costume for Zhao Yun.

Dynasty Warriors 9 seeks to transform the gameplay of the series, keeping the one-versus-thousand battle concept, but unifying all different stages through an expansive open world, filled with battlegrounds and populations where to interact with other characters, improve our equipment, and accept new quests. This will help offering a refreshing take on the traditional story of the Three Kingdoms, with players getting to know different perspectives of the tale through the point of view of the vast selection of characters.

This entry will also introduce new battle mechanics called the State Combo System, based on performing different styles of attacks named Trigger, Flow, and Finish, each dealing more damage progressively, which helps to make a more seamless and engaging experience.

Dynasty Warriors 9 will launch in North America and Europe on Febryary 13th for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Japan will receive the game a little earlier, February 8th.
