EA has now briefly answered a few fan questions about Star Wars Battlefront.

The community manager for Star Wars Battlefront, Matthew Everett, answered some interesting questions from fans on the official website.

First of all, Everett said that the Y-Wing is not a playable vehicle in the game. Instead, players can call on them for support in certain game modes. They will only be controlled by the AI.

If you don’t know, a Y-Wing is a bomber. This might mean the TIE Bombers aren’t playable in the game either. If you are playing as the Empire, they might only be controlled by the AI as well being your air-support.

Split-screen has been confirmed countless times in Star Wars Battlefront, but today it’s been revealed it will only be for the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game. Everett said the PC version will not have a split-screen mode sadly.

Lastly, Everett described how you can get vehicles in the game. In Walker Assault mode, vehicles are tied to the “power up system”. If you find a vehicle power up, you need to activate it so you can spawn inside of it.

You need to activate the vehicle power up within a certain amount of time. This design was done on purpose so all players have a chance to pilot them.
