EA Teases Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Ahead of Star Wars Celebration

In just a few days at the Star Wars Celebration event in chicago, EA and Respawn Entertainment will reveal the contents of their upcoming game, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. However, the former has decided to heighten the anticipation just a bit with a little tease on twitter. This came in the form of a seven second video with the supposed artwork of the title, and just like the name, it seems like the Jedi are not in a good position right now.

The artwork depicts a lightsaber that has been damaged sitting on rock with some runes that have been carved out. What these symbols mean are an absolute mystery, but one thing is for certain, the Jedi are all on the brink of extinction. All of this ties into the main narrative of Star Wars as this takes place sometime after Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith, where Emperor Palpatine has taken over the Republic and re-branded it into his own Galactic Empire. At the same time, the Jedi order has been dwindled down to just two, Master Yoda and Obi-Wan Kenobi. What we do know is that the main character of the game is known as the Padawan, a rank given to initiates of the Jedi Order.

The tagline Don’t Stand Out is also featured in the teaser, which is probably due to the fact that Palpatine and Darth Vader are actively looking for any remaining Jedi to exterminate them, forcing the Padawan to keep their affiliation a secret throughout the game. Either way, we won’t have to wait long to find out more, as the Star Wars Celebration event takes place this week from April 11-19, and the reveal is scheduled to happen this Saturday, April 13 at 1:30 pm CDT.
