There might be a price drop for the PS4 in Europe as indicated by some retail catalogs that have been released recently.

As indicated by a user on NeoGAF, many retailers in the Netherlands have displayed a new price for the PS4. They all show a price tag of €349 for the 500GB models As for the 1TB version, that price will go down to €399.

All of the retailers have noted that these prices will be effective soon. You can pre-order the consoles at the new price from October 21st, 2015. It’s expected Sony might be making an official announcement on this very soon as another NeoGAF user noted something similar was advertised in France too.

It makes sense for Sony to drop the price for the PS4 in Europe after it already happened in Japan and North America earlier this year. Not to mention it’s the lead up to the busy Holiday season so the reduced price will entice more people to buy the console.

It’s a good time for Sony to drop the price soon as Microsoft will be advertising its Xbox One heavily now with both Halo 5: Guardians and Rise of the Tomb Raider on the way shortly.
