Fallout 4 rumors have been around since the conclusion of Fallout: New Vegas, but they have truly reached a new level as of late thanks to Bethesda hosting their own press conference at E3 2015. Speculation has run rampant, but mostly just hinged on the importance Bethesda seems to be placing on this year’s E3. However, it looks like all the wait is about to pay off as Bethesda themselves have begun teasing the possible reveal of the long-awaited Fallout 4. In a tweet released this morning Bethesda posted the famous “Please Stand By” image from the Fallout games, along with a link.
As of this writing the link simply goes to a spinning loading symbol. Whether this is intentional, or a result of thousands of fans frantically hitting the site is unknown, but expect an update if things change. (UPDATE: It seems to be the latter, as those who have gotten to the site report a 24 hour countdown. Expect a full reveal of the game tomorrow) What’s really important about the link is where it goes, which is “fallout.bethsoft.com”. It seems extremely likely now that Bethesda is finally ready to unveil the next game in the Fallout series, and E3 2015 should be the ideal time and place.
