Fallout 4 Launch Trailer Reveals New Story Details and Gameplay Footage

Fallout 4 hits next week for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. To celebrate, Bethesda has released the official Fallout 4 launch trailer. Revealing some great looking new gameplay, the video should calm some of the nerves people are having over sketchy leaked gameplay. It also delves deeper into the overall story of the game than any trailer before.

Dealing with the shadowy Institute, a remnant of Fallout’s version of MIT, the story seems to center around the existence of Synths, and the fear that they cause within the population. The trailer talks a lot about the fate of the world that players will find themselves in, and how it all relates back to the Institute and the Synths that they seem to be blamed for. You also get a better sense of your character, and their place within the vast world of post-apocalyptic Boston.

How this all ties together might be apparent for longtime Fallout fans, but those that jumped in with Fallout 3 and New Vegas might have a lot more questions about Fallout 4. Those questions should be answered soon though, with the game hitting on November 10th. Keep checking here for full coverage of the game, including our final review, when it gets closer to launch.
