Both the player’s chosen male and female characters in Fallout 4 are guaranteed to have a lot of spoken dialogue in the game.
The Telegraph recently had a chance to interview the game’s director Todd Howard. The topic of spoken dialogue was brought up.
Fallout 4 is the first in the series that won’t have a mute main character. Both male and female options will have a lot of dialogue that brings life to your character.
In the Fallout games, players are able to choose the answers they want to say. In order to keep the dialogue fresh and exciting, Bethesda didn’t hold back and recorded as much as they could.
Howard said that the main male and female voice actors recorded for “2 years“. Over those 2 years, they had done over “13,000 lines of dialogue“.
Howard pointed out that it was important to give players a lot of choices. This is why so much audio was recorded for the game. The two voice actors for the game are Brian T Delaney and Courtenay Taylor.
Howard also described there are slight differences playing Fallout 4 as a man and a woman. Some scenes will play out slightly differently depending on the gender you choose.
Fallout 4 releases November 10th for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
