Fallout 4 is about to launch its second set of DLC with the Wasteland Workshop update on April 12th for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Taking a cue from Pokemon, the Wasteland Workshop DLC lets you capture and tame creatures from all across the Fallout 4 wilderness. Along with this comes some new pieces of content for your settlements, allowing you to customize your towns more and giving you more options as far as what to build and how.
“With the Wasteland Workshop, design and set cages to capture live creatures – from raiders to Deathclaws! Tame them or have them face off in battle, even against your fellow settlers. The Wasteland Workshop also includes a suite of new design options for your settlements like nixie tube lighting, letter kits, taxidermy and more!”
In a new trailer, which you can check out below, Bethesda breaks down many of the new additions. These include some really brutal and cool looking traps you can place around your settlments, stopping those raiding parties in their tracks.
The real draw though will probably be the animal taming, where you can capture creatures as big as Deathclaws, then train them for combat. These new pets can also just be for show though, so you should have plenty of reason to grab tons of animals to put around your settlement.
The Fallout 4 Wasteland Workshop DLC update hits PS4, Xbox One, and PC on April 12th.
